Hello I’m Owen, I’m 15, I live in Hallwood Park and I attend Chestnut Lodge School.

This is my 4th year on youth cabinet, even though it is my 4th year I will be bringing more ideas to the group and thinking of ways to make a difference, this year I was privileged to be elected as member of youth parliament and I have gained lots of experience from this and I have had endless new opportunities.  I have helped and inspired other young people to have a voice and follow what they believe.

Because I’ve been doing this for so long I know how to take ideas and put them into action and who to talk to and how the system works.  I have recently consulted with authority figures about the proposed incinerator and I strongly voiced the young people’s opinions who might not be used to getting listened to. I have felt like they haven’t taken me seriously and if re-elected I will continue to voice young peoples concerns over the incinerator. I will continue to be enthusiastic and motivated to make a difference.
